Hello! My name is Rebecca Wheeley and I am the current Miss Arkansas RIver. I will be representing the River Valley at the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant in July 2011. I am a graduate of Rogers High School In Rogers, AR and I currently attend the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith where I am obtaining a bachelors degree in business administration and accounting. My future plans include obtaining a masters degree in accounting/business and work for a company that will allow me to continue to promote my platform "Beat the Heat: Heat Illness Prevention and Hydration Awareness".

Leadership Roles: Spokeswoman for the Kendrick Fincher Hydration Foundation; UAFS Residential Life Resident Assistant, Co-captian of the UAFS Pom Squad, Delta Gamma Soroity VP of Membership, VP of Programming, Director of Public Relations and Activities; Charleston Tigers Dance Team Technique Instructor, Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio - dance instructor for girls and boys ages 3-20.
Accomplishments: Volunteer for the Kendrick Fincher Hydration Foundation - 11 years; Miss University of Arkansas Fort Smith 2010, Arkansas All Region Symphonic Band, Miss Arkansas Court of Honor 2009; National Dance Association All-American Dance Team 2008, 2010.
Interesting Facts: I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college; I have been taking professional dance instruction for 19 years; I can jump rope while bouncing on a pogo stick, I've danced in a performance for my city's mayor.
